Solid tonewoods deliver big tone
The jumbo-shaped Martin BCPA4 acoustic-electric bass guitar features the tested and coveted combination of spruce top and sapele back and sides. Martin used solid Sitka spruce, which gives a bright presence and projection while the warm sound of solid sapele gives you great bass response. Highly sustainable, and relatively fast-growing, sapele gives you everything that mahogany does, tonally speaking, with an extra dash of treble zing. The bottom line (pun intended) is full, balanced, highly detailed tone. You’ll love the Martin BCPA4.
Fishman F1 Analog electronics for rich, natural sound
By equipping the BCPA4 with Fishman F1 Analog electronics, Martin takes the acoustic-electric back to basics. This simple pickup system gives you an onboard tuner, along with tone and volume control, and an innovative phase control that improves bass response at low volumes and suppress feedback when you’re cranked. Simple and effective. Coupled with the tonewood selection, the result is pure, natural amplified sound.
You simply can’t go wrong with a Martin guitar
Embracing the past, while looking to the future – it’s a tightrope act, but Martin has always been able to pull it off. That’s why they’ve consistently been a leader in acoustic guitar design, infusing their guitars with new materials, building techniques, and technologies – while producing fine instruments that age with grace to become highly sought-after, highly playable heirlooms.
